About this exhibition
HANDWERK live is one of Germany's leading crafts fairs, held in Leipzig since 1998 under the motto "Erlebe Tradition. Entdecke Innovation." From 2027 it again features "Handwerk in Aktion" (crafts in action). Craft businesses, chambers of crafts and guilds present the breadth of the trades. The Handwerksforum Ost (HAFO) brings together politics, crafts, business and science. Patronage in 2027: Saxony. In 2026 the fair ran jointly with HAUS-GARTEN-FREIZEIT with 690 exhibitors and 137,700 visitors.
Why exhibit
over 20,000 expected attendees. Because it shares the floor with a home and garden mega-show, exhibitors gain massive public footfall and high B2C sales potential right at their booths. It is an excellent test bed for assessing product market demand directly.
Why visit
It acts as a comprehensive, multi-trade marketplace. Visitors can compare tool manufacturers, test out raw materials obligation-free, learn about custom home remodeling tricks, or explore career apprenticeships straight from master craftsmen.
Exhibitor profile
Craft businesses, chambers of crafts and guilds presenting products and services of the trades.
Visitor profile
Broad regional audience from central Germany; visitor info, tickets and school-class offers on the official website.
