IIOO EXPO 2026

About this exhibition

The 10th Edition of IIOO Expo will be held in Chennai in August, one of India’s most prominent commercial and manufacturing hubs and a key gateway to South India’s optical and eyewear market. With its strong retail presence, growing optometry base, and excellent connectivity, Chennai provides an ideal platform for expanding business opportunities within the optical industry. IIOO Expo is India’s only dedicated exhibition for the optical industry, serving as a comprehensive meeting point for the entire value chain. The exhibition consistently attracts leading optical retailers, distributors, manufacturers, importers, and industry professionals from across India and neighbouring South Asian countries, making it a trusted and influential business platform for the sector. India, as the world’s most populous country, represents one of the fastest-growing eyewear markets globally. The demand for eyewear continues to rise due to increasing disposable incomes, evolving lifestyles, and heightened awareness of personal appearance and eye health. In addition, greater emphasis on vision care has significantly increased the adoption of prescription eyewear across both urban and emerging markets. The Indian eyewear industry is undergoing a dynamic transformation, driven by evolving consumer preferences and technological advancements. The rapid growth of online and omnichannel retail channels, supported by widespread internet and smartphone penetration, is reshaping purchasing behaviour. Simultaneously, consumers are showing a strong inclination towards branded, premium, and fashion-forward eyewear, highlighting the industry’s shift towards quality, innovation, and design. With a decade of industry leadership, strategic location, and focused industry participation, the 10th IIOO Expo in Chennai continues to strengthen its position as the most impactful platform for networking, knowledge exchange, and business growth in the Indian optical industry.
