Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) Kisan Mela at Gurdaspur is a regional farmers' fair serving Punjab's sub-mountain farming zone. PAU Kisan Melas feature agro-industrial exhibitions, field demonstrations, improved seed and planting-material activities, agricultural literature, competitions and knowledge sharing with farmers.

Companies can display agricultural machinery, tools, technologies and other permitted agricultural products to farmers and agricultural stakeholders. PAU runs an official stall-allocation system for participating firms/companies, including regional Kisan Melas.

PAU organizes Kisan Melas to connect farmers with agricultural research, improved technologies, machinery, seeds, demonstrations and expert knowledge; regional melas serve Punjab's major agro-climatic zones, including Gurdaspur's sub-mountain zone.
